Privacy & Terms: 27-Sep-2025 to 02-Dec-2025
Privacy & Terms: 03-Sep-2025 to 27-Sep-2025

1) Privacy Policy

Who we are. Tixplore.com (“we”, “our”, “us”) is currently operated by Krish-IT, a Netherlands-based company registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK). If and when Tixplore.com B.V. is incorporated, all rights and obligations under this Privacy Policy & Terms will automatically transfer to Tixplore.com B.V.

What we collect

  • Contact details: Your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your name.
  • Authentication & account data: Login method (e.g., email link, Google/Apple), basic account metadata (such as creation time and last login), and security logs. We do not store your third-party login passwords.
  • Content you add: Trip plans, saved items, notes, reviews or feedback, and support messages.
  • Device & usage data: IP address, CF-IPCountry, user agent, pages viewed, clicks, referrers, error logs, and similar technical events.
  • Identifiers & online IDs: Cookies/localStorage identifiers, Firebase Installation ID, app instance IDs, and similar identifiers used for security, fraud prevention, and analytics.
  • Messaging & notification data: If you enable notifications, a push notification / device token, your notification and communication preferences, and basic engagement data such as whether a message was delivered, opened, or clicked.
  • Location data:
    • Approximate location (derived from IP / Cloudflare headers) for localization, security, and fraud prevention.
    • Precise GPS location only if you explicitly consent in the product, to localize offers or routes near you.

Why we use your data (Purposes & legal bases)

  • Provide and operate the Service (generate trips, save plans, manage accounts, and send you itineraries): performance of a contract.
  • Customer messaging and notifications across email, push notifications, and in-app messages: service and account messages (such as login links, security alerts, and trip updates) are part of providing the Service (performance of a contract); promotional or marketing messages are sent only with your consent.
  • Product news and marketing about Tixplore.com (new features, launches, promotions): consent.
  • Partner updates and offers from companies in the travel sector, including:
    • Travel booking sites (hotels, tours, activities)
    • Insurance providers (e.g., travel or trip protection)
    • Car rental and mobility providers
    • Flight booking agencies and airlines
    • Other travel-related products or services
Legal basis: consent for marketing & affiliate tracking.
  • Security & abuse prevention (rate-limiting, fraud checks, logging): legitimate interests.
  • Geolocation features (GPS for nearby content and offers): consent.
  • Analytics & measurement to understand usage and improve the Service: consent in the EU/UK/CH; minimized, cookieless metrics may run under legitimate interests where permitted.
  • Compliance (tax, accounting, legal obligations, responding to lawful requests): legal obligation.

You can opt in or out of partner marketing separately at any time. We do not sell your personal data. We only send partner offers through our own emails or within the Tixplore.com interface. We do not give partners your email for their independent marketing unless you explicitly consent to that with them.

Legal basis

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract (to provide the Service).
  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent (for marketing, partner offers, certain analytics, and GPS).
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests (for security, fraud prevention, and basic product analytics where permitted).
  • Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – legal obligation (for record-keeping, accounting, or legal requirements).

Sharing & recipients

We use trusted service providers (“processors”) for hosting, authentication, analytics, and email delivery, for example:

  • Cloudflare – security, CDN, DNS, and basic logs.
  • Google Cloud & Firebase – hosting, authentication, infrastructure, and certain analytics.
  • Google (Gemini API) – AI processing to generate and validate trip itineraries and travel suggestions from the prompts and preferences you submit. Google processes this data only as our service provider, on our instructions, and does not use it to train or improve its own AI models.
  • Supabase – database and storage for accounts, saved trips, and related application data.
  • Email service providers such as SendGrid / SendPulse – transactional and marketing email delivery and unsubscribe handling.
  • Customer.io – customer relationship management (CRM) and customer messaging, including lifecycle and marketing emails, push notifications, in-app messaging, and related campaign automation.
  • Analytics tools (for example, Google Analytics or a comparable privacy-focused provider) – aggregated usage metrics to improve the Service.
  • Customer support tools / chat widgets – where implemented, to handle support and feedback.
  • Affiliate and advertising networks (for example, affiliate platforms used to attribute bookings when you click our monetized links).

These providers only process data on our instructions and under data protection agreements where required. Marketing partners. If you have opted in, we may include offers from selected travel partners in our emails or inside the app. You will always have a clear option to unsubscribe from marketing emails.

International transfers

Some of our providers are located outside the EEA. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other appropriate safeguards recognized under the GDPR.

Retention

  • Account and trip data – while you have an active account and for a limited period afterwards for backup, security, or legal purposes.
  • Marketing data – until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, or we decide to stop that activity.
  • Logs and security data – for a limited period appropriate for security and compliance.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have rights to request access to your personal data, rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, data portability (where applicable), and to object to certain processing, including where we rely on legitimate interests.

You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in our emails. You can also contact us to exercise your rights or request deletion of your account at legal@tixplore.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, for example the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands.

Cookies & tracking

  • Strictly necessary cookies – Required for security, basic site functions, and remembering your cookie choices. These are always active.
  • Functional cookies – For optional features such as remembering your preferences or improving the user experience.
  • Analytics cookies – To measure usage (for example, which pages are visited) and improve the product. These only run with your consent where required by law.
  • Marketing & affiliate cookies – To measure when a booking made on a partner site should be attributed to Tixplore.com and to understand which offers perform best. These only run with your consent in the EU/UK/CH.

You can manage your choices via our cookie banner or controls where available. If you reject non-essential cookies, the core trip planning features should still work, but some analytics and offer personalization may not.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Minimum age

The Service is intended only for users aged 18 or older. It is not directed to, and may not be used by, children or anyone under 18. Please do not create an account for, or submit the personal data of, anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be clearly signposted on this page, and where required (for example, for new types of marketing), we will seek your renewed consent.

Affiliate attribution details

When you click a monetized link, the URL may include a click identifier. If you consent to marketing & affiliate cookies, we may store a small identifier so that the advertiser can credit Tixplore.com if you later purchase.

Some advertisers support cookieless or server-to-server attribution. In those cases, the click ID is matched by the advertiser or affiliate network without setting client-side cookies. We do not see your full booking details; we typically receive only aggregated or pseudonymous conversion information (for example, commission earned, booking value range, or region).

2) Terms of Use

Scope

These Terms govern your use of the Tixplore.com website, apps, and related services (the “Service”). Tixplore.com is an AI-assisted travel planning tool that helps you generate, save, and share trip ideas and itineraries. We may add, change, or remove features from time to time.

Pricing & free access

Tixplore.com is currently free to use. You can generate, save, and share trips and itineraries at no charge, and we do not currently cap the total number of trips you can create — though reasonable technical, operational, and anti-abuse limits, such as rate limits, may apply.

We may, at our sole discretion, introduce usage limits, fair-use quotas, optional paid plans, or premium add-ons in the future. If we do, we will signpost the change in advance, any such limits will apply on a going-forward basis, and trips you have already created will remain accessible to you in line with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Free access is made possible by the affiliate model described under “Third-party links, bookings & affiliates” below.

Eligibility & permitted use

  • By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that the information you provide (such as your email address) is accurate and that you are authorized to use it.
  • Do not submit another person’s email or personal data without their permission. The Service is intended only for users aged 18 or older.
  • You may not use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or infringing purpose.

Accounts & security

Certain features require a Tixplore account or sign-in via a supported third-party login (for example, Google or Apple).

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and access tokens confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe there is misuse, fraud, security risk, or a breach of these Terms.
  • You may request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account may permanently remove your saved trips and related content.

Communications & marketing

By creating an account or subscribing, you agree that we may send you necessary service and account communications (for example, login links, security alerts, and important updates about the Service). These are not marketing and are part of providing the Service.

Service emails (for example, sending your trip plan to your inbox) may include contextual links or offers related to that specific trip, such as hotel or ticket options. Separate, standalone marketing campaigns are only sent if you have opted in.

Separately, you may choose to receive Tixplore.com product news and marketing and, if you opt in, partner updates and offers. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time via unsubscribe links or your settings.

AI & informational content

Parts of the Service — including the trip planner and the AI travel assistant — are powered by artificial intelligence. When you use these features you are interacting with an AI system, not a human, and the itineraries, routes, travel ideas, and other suggestions they produce are generated by AI.

The Service uses third-party AI models, currently Google’s Gemini, to generate and validate this content. All such content is for informational and planning purposes only and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You must independently verify any critical information before you travel, including but not limited to travel restrictions, visa and entry requirements, local laws, health and safety guidance, insurance coverage, opening times, and transport schedules. Tixplore.com does not provide professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or travel agency services).

Third-party links, bookings & affiliates

The Service may display, embed, or link to third-party websites, apps, booking modules, and services. Tixplore.com itself does not sell travel products and does not process your payments.

How we keep Tixplore.com free. Tixplore.com is free to use. When you book or buy something after following a link or using a booking module on our site, the marketplace or operator pays us a small affiliate commission — at no extra cost to you, and we do not add any markup of our own to the partner’s price. Because we only earn when you choose to go ahead with a booking, our incentives stay aligned with yours: we do better when we help you plan a better adventure, not when we push you toward a sale.

More generally, Tixplore.com is funded mainly by affiliate commissions. When the Service shows hotels, tours, activities, tickets, city cards, transport, insurance, or other travel products, many of the links and booking modules are monetized: if you go on to book or buy, the relevant provider, marketplace, or affiliate network may pay Tixplore.com a commission. This is how we keep the planning experience free. It does not add anything to your price, and it does not change our commitment to give you useful, good-faith suggestions.

  • When you click a link or use an embedded booking module and make a booking, you enter into a contract directly with the third-party provider, partner, or operator — not with Tixplore.com.
  • We do not control and are not responsible for third-party prices, availability, fees, terms, policies, or service quality. Any booking, change, cancellation, refund, or complaint is ultimately handled by the relevant third-party provider.
  • Some links and booking modules are affiliate-monetized. If you make a qualifying booking, we may earn a commission from the provider, marketplace, or affiliate network at no extra cost to you.
  • Using the Service does not change the rights you have against the third-party provider under applicable consumer law.

Embedded (white-label) booking experiences

Some parts of the Service let you browse and book certain products — for example attraction tickets, city cards and passes, tours, activities, and events — through embedded, white-labeled booking experiences powered by our partners:

  • Tiqets: Powers white-labeled ticketing and city card / pass booking inside the Service, primarily for attractions and events.
  • Viator: Powers white-labeled booking for tours, activities, and experiences inside the Service.

These experiences may be presented inside Tixplore.com using our branding and styling, but the underlying inventory, pricing, availability, booking confirmation, tickets or vouchers, and customer terms are provided and controlled by the relevant partner (such as Tiqets or Viator) or the end operator. When you complete a booking through one of these embedded experiences, your purchase contract is with that partner or operator, not with Tixplore.com, and their terms and privacy notices apply to that transaction in addition to these Terms.

We are not the merchant of record

Tixplore.com is not the “merchant of record” for any ticket, city card, tour, activity, event, hotel, flight, or other travel product offered or linked through the Service, including products shown through the embedded white-label experiences described above.

The merchant of record — the seller that processes your payment, issues the booking and any tax documentation, provides the tickets or vouchers, and is responsible for fulfilment — is the relevant partner, marketplace, or operator (for example, Tiqets, Viator, or the underlying provider). Tixplore.com does not take your payment, set the final price, hold your booking, or issue tickets, refunds, or invoices.

Even though we are not the merchant of record and cannot control a partner’s decision, we still want your experience to be a good one. If something goes wrong with a booking made through the Service, you can contact us at customersupport@tixplore.com and we will do our best to help — for example, by pointing you to the right partner, sharing the booking reference we hold, or following up on your behalf. Any binding decision on pricing, changes, cancellations, refunds, or compensation rests with the merchant of record.

Offers, vouchers & discounts

Because Tixplore.com brings together a large and growing community of travelers, we are sometimes able to negotiate special deals with partners and larger travel companies and pass the benefit on to you as vouchers, discount codes, coupons, credits, or other promotional offers — including within the embedded white-label booking experiences described above.

Any such offer is promotional and is made available at the discretion of Tixplore.com and/or the relevant partner. Unless stated otherwise, offers are subject to availability, may be limited in number, may carry their own specific terms (for example, eligible products, regions, dates, or minimum spend), cannot be combined unless we say so, and have no cash value.

Offers, vouchers, and discounts may be changed, paused, withdrawn, or discontinued at any time — by Tixplore.com or by the partner funding or supporting them — and their value or benefit may be reduced. This can happen even where we have previously indicated a validity period (for example, three months): any such period is indicative only and is not a guarantee, and an offer may end earlier if it is discontinued or if the underlying partner arrangement changes. Where we reasonably can, we will give advance notice of a material change. A voucher or discount you have already validly redeemed before a change takes effect is not affected, and nothing in this section limits any mandatory rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

Intellectual property

The Tixplore.com site, brand, underlying software, and content (excluding your own trip data) are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for its intended purpose.

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve and develop our products, where permitted by law.

Acceptable use

  • No scraping, bulk harvesting, or automated access beyond what is permitted by our public APIs.
  • No probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Service or circumventing security measures.
  • No reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code, except where allowed by law.
  • No use of the Service in a way that interferes with or disrupts our infrastructure or other users.

Changes & availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including by removing or changing features. We will use reasonable efforts to signpost material changes to these Terms (for example, by updating this page and adjusting the effective date shown at the top).

Service availability & no guarantees

We work to keep the Service reliable, but it may still contain bugs, omissions, or inaccuracies and may be unavailable from time to time (for example, due to maintenance, outages, or third-party issues). To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any itinerary, suggestion, or price is accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs.

Disclaimer regarding travel risks & external factors

Tixplore.com provides AI-generated travel suggestions for informational and planning purposes only. You acknowledge and agree that we have no control over, and are not responsible for, external factors that may impact your travel plans.

  • User responsibility: You are solely responsible for verifying all aspects of your trip with official and reliable sources before and during your travel. This includes, without limitation, checking weather forecasts, local safety conditions, government travel advisories, health and visa requirements, and the operating status of venues or transport services.
  • Acts of God & force majeure: We are not liable for any disruption resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including:
    • Natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, volcanic activity)
    • Severe weather conditions and other natural calamities
    • Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies
    • Acts of terrorism, war, civil unrest, or political instability
    • Labor disputes, strikes, or transportation network failures
    • Changes or cancellations by third-party providers (airlines, hotels, tour operators)
  • Assumption of risk: Travel involves inherent risks. By using the Service, you agree that Tixplore.com is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, financial loss, or other harm that may occur during your trip. You are responsible for your own safety and for securing adequate travel insurance where appropriate.

The Service is a planning tool to provide ideas and options. The final success and safety of your trip depend on your own diligence and decisions.

Limitation of liability

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
  • Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service and these Terms is limited to the greater of €25 or the total amounts you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is unlawful (for example, liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or other non-waivable statutory rights).
  • Our aggregate liability cap above often equals €0 during early stages of the Service where you have not paid us.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tixplore.com and its operators from third-party claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your unlawful use of the Service or your material breach of these Terms.

Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts in Amsterdam, except where mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence provide otherwise.
